Couples Widget Not Updating on iPhone? Try These Fixes

First confirm the app data is current

Open HeartSee and check whether the mood, note, countdown, distance, or streak is correct inside the app. If the app itself is outdated, confirm connectivity and ask your partner to open HeartSee on their device. A widget cannot display data the app has not received.

Do not use refresh delays to infer where a partner is or whether they are ignoring you. Connectivity, background scheduling, battery state, and iOS can all delay the screen.

Use the least disruptive fixes first

Return to the Home Screen, wait briefly, then open and close HeartSee once. Touch and hold the widget, choose Edit Widget, and reselect its content if available. Confirm the iPhone is not in an extreme Low Power or low-connectivity condition.

Next, restart the iPhone. If only one widget is affected, remove that widget and add it again from the gallery. This is safer than immediately deleting the app.

• Open HeartSee and verify the source data.
• Check Wi-Fi or mobile data.
• Restart the iPhone.
• Remove and re-add only the widget.

Check permissions and updates

For distance, review HeartSee’s Location access in iPhone Settings and confirm both partners still consent to the feature. For notifications, review notification permission and preview settings separately. Update HeartSee through the App Store and install a stable iOS update when appropriate.

If HeartSee is missing from the widget gallery after an update, launch the app once, wait a moment, and reopen the gallery. The operating system may need time to register a new widget extension.

Before reinstalling or contacting support

Reinstall only after the simpler steps fail. Make sure you understand whether local app information, pairing, or unsent content could be affected. Record the iPhone model, iOS version, HeartSee version, widget size, and what the widget shows.

When contacting support, describe the expected result, actual result, and the last time it worked. Do not send pairing codes, exact location, or private partner content. A cropped screenshot without sensitive information is usually enough.
