Long-Distance Relationship Countdown
Count the days and hours until you see each other again. Your date stays in this browser and is never sent anywhere.

A simple countdown for your next visit
Choose the confirmed local date and time of your next meeting. The calculator shows complete days and remaining hours. It calculates entirely on your device and does not save the date.
Does my partner see the same countdown?
Not automatically. The countdown runs only in the browser where you open it and does not share or save the date. To count down together, each of you can open the tool and enter the meeting time, or one of you can copy the result and send it.
If you want the count to stay in view without opening a page, put the date in a shared calendar or a couples app you both use.
How does the countdown handle time zones?
It uses the time zone of the device you are on. Enter the moment you will meet as it reads on your own clock. If your partner lives in another time zone and uses the tool too, they enter the same moment in their local time, and you both get the same number of days and hours. For example, a flight that lands at 6 pm in London in December is 7 pm in Warsaw.
Plan calls around the same overlap you already use for the rest of the week.

Can I keep a countdown on my iPhone screen?
This web page cannot become a widget, but you can bookmark it or add it to your Home Screen from Safari's Share menu. HeartSee, a private couples app for iPhone, includes a Home Screen widget that counts the days to a date, next to widgets for moods, notes, and the distance between you. Both partners install HeartSee and pair with an invite code.

Is your next visit over the holidays?
A countdown helps most when the plan is real. If the visit falls over Christmas or New Year, agree on travel, budget, and family plans first, then count down. If you cannot meet this time, plan the calls and traditions you will share instead.

Keep the date somewhere you both see
A countdown is most useful when the plan is real and shared. Confirm travel, budget, and timing first. Then copy the result, add the date to a shared calendar, or keep it close in your relationship routine.
More than one special date
HeartSee keeps distance, widgets, daily streaks, moods, games, and memories in one private iPhone space for two. It is free to download, with optional in-app purchases.

Do we both see the same countdown?
Only if each of you enters the meeting. The tool runs in one browser and shares nothing. You can copy the result and send it, or each open the tool on your own phone.
How does the countdown handle time zones?
It uses your device's time zone. Enter the meeting time as it reads on your own clock. A partner in another time zone enters the same moment in their local time and gets the same count.
Is the date saved or sent anywhere?
No. The countdown is calculated in your browser and the date is not stored or sent. Reloading the page clears it.
Can I put the countdown on my iPhone Home Screen?
The web page cannot run as a widget, but Safari can add it to your Home Screen as a shortcut. For a widget, HeartSee includes a Home Screen widget that counts the days to a date.
What happens when the meeting time passes?
The tool only counts toward future dates and times. If the time you enter has already passed, it shows no count and asks you to choose a new date.
